John Allen Burt and his wife managed a Florida home for pregnant mothers. We believe John was falsely accused of touching the breasts one of the teenage pregnant moms who later fled to Ireland. John was convicted on the hearsay testimony of this rebellious teen mother. His conviction caused great financial and emotional distress to him and his wife. He wrote me earlier this year that if he was not soon released he would soon die in prison. The details of his death are unavailable. Farewell honest soldier.

What should be done with John Burt now? Sentencing is May 12.

Burt's family says it is impossible, considering Burk's age (66 years old) and his medical problems, e.g. diabetes, heart problems, that he could have committed the deeds of which he is accused. Burt also denies doing anything wrong.

Burt was found guilty of the charges. If he did it, it was a stupid thing to do. I am not convinced he did, but if so, not only is it wrong and a sin; but anyone should know, most fifteen year old girls cannot keep their mouth shut.
John having run Our Father's House for young girls would surely know this. Either way, he is a brother and if he has sinned in this area, we should not forsake him, but restore him to the faith.

John's defense lawyer, Nicole Ferry told the jury that her client was not guilty and that the girl has a history of lying and mental health problems. Tallahassee Democrat Fri., Apr. 02,

Psalm 130:4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

Daniel 9:9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him

Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace

Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
