Accepting Salvation through Jesus Christ

"....Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and
with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:
this is the first commandment." Mark 12:30

Repentance: Since you have recognized your need for Jesus as your Savior,
                       The next step is called repentance. That means to be so very sorry
                       for your sin that you are willing to turn totally away from it. (This kind
                       of sorrow comes from realizing that your sin has offended God - not just
                       because you "got caught" in a bad circumstance!)

                      True repentance means that you stop going your own way -
                        and doing your own thing, and begin to follow God's way.

                              That is making Jesus your Lord as well as your Savior.

                                        If your repentance is REAL - Here is the Good News!

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

                  and
                                               If you are truly willing to change,
                  God will empower that change in you through the working of His Holy Spirit.

                 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
                     in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
                    For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
                   confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)

               Dear Father in Heaven, Thank you for sending the Lord Jesus Christ to die
                on the cross for MY sin. Please forgive me of all I have ever said or done that
                you have called "sin". I take you at Your Word that you will forgive all who ask.
                I believe that Jesus died for me, that He was buried and that you raised Him
               from the dead. I ask Jesus to be my Lord, as well as my Savior. I surrender
                myself to Him, totally. Thank you Lord that I am now saved, and can call myself,
                your child.   Amen.
